Kinloch
In contrast to Kinloch’s beautiful gardens, mature trees and pastoral views, the existing nineteenth-century house was dark and inward looking with low ceilings and very few windows.
With kitchen and primary suite additions and reconfigured interior and exterior spaces, Dalgliesh Gilpin Paxton Architects transformed the house into a bright and inviting home. The design maximizes natural light and ceiling heights on the interior and creates opportunities to engage with the landscape through the introduction of a new terrace, French doors, and porches.
The project also encompassed infrastructure improvements, including a new road, guest house, stable, accessory buildings and a pond.
