Shootin’ Shack

The Shootin’ Shack, a 1,000-square-foot cabin on the Atlantic coast of Virginia’s Eastern Shore, is surrounded on all sides by marsh.  Dalgliesh Gilpin Paxton Architects’ design evokes traditional Eastern Shore architecture with a contemporary flair.  The cabin sits on 12-foot wooden piers to maximize views and protect from tides and storms.  The Shootin’ Shack’s interiors are bright and airy, making it a perfect two-person getaway spot.

"It sits up high above the marsh and its interior - light, high, and airy - feels as snug and well-fitted as a ship at sea."— Chesapeake Home + Living
