Charlottesville Pool Pavilion

In collaboration with landscape architect Rachel Lilly, Dalgliesh Gilpin Paxton Architects designed a pavilion to act as a shady, outdoor room for an existing pool and walled garden.   The structure’s fresh and pared down interpretation of a classical Doric order complements the property’s neoclassical main residence.  A simple repeating triglyph blends harmoniously with the pergola’s maintenance-free palette of limestone columns and pavers and stained vertical grain cedar.
