Tall Oaks
Our clients asked us to adapt this historic property for casual family living and reorient the house toward its spectacular landscape.
Dalgliesh Gilpin Paxton Architects reworked both interiors and exteriors. We extended living and recreational areas out toward the mountain views by opening the main house to a large terrace and incorporating a new pool house into the landscape.

At the owners’ request, we integrated classic Adam-style detailing in the living room and Greek Revival detailing in the remainder of the house, both befitting a fine 1850s home.
