Midway Farm

An early nineteenth-century country home nestled in Albemarle County’s rolling hills, Midway is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and the Virginia Landmarks Register.

Working in close collaboration with the Department of Historic Resources, we carefully restored the original structure and crafted a complementary yet perceptively distinct addition.

The new construction engages the existing Charles Gillette garden and houses a family room, sunlit conservatory, two-story glass bay at the kitchen, and primary suite above. A new swimming pool and outdoor entertaining space overlook stunning mountain views. The original summer kitchen was renovated to provide bath and changing spaces convenient to the pool.
