Roanoke Residence

What began as a kitchen remodeling project evolved into the transformation of this entire house and property. The original classical revival home, circa 1925-26, had a dark kitchen, small bathrooms, minimal closet space and little connection to the landscape. A small addition expanded the kitchen, provided an inviting family room and defined an outdoor room for dining and comfortable seating. Upstairs, we reconfigured the plan, creating a master bath and generous dressing areas and opening a previously warren-like space.
